Paint the Town Green – Response to Coronavirus and Policies

Last updated: Wednesday 29th April 2020

Starting with immediate effect, please know that Paint the Town Green is implementing strict working policies in response to the current Coronavirus outbreak and lockdown. Aware that this situation is ever changing, we are in reviewing our policies and procedures daily in accordance with government guidelines and will update our response accordingly and take further action if required.

First and foremost, our policies and procedures are in place to minimise risk to our staff, employees and our clients. To ensure works are uninterrupted, existing decorating projects that are near-finished will only continue in unoccupied properties with full consent and agreement from our clients only, adhering strictly at all times to our policies set out below.

Paint the Town Green are still able to discuss and quote for all new decorating projects and book in now to our ‘post-covid’ diary so that we are ready to start work once restrictions are fully lifted. For this, an actual site visit will be temporarily replaced by a virtual site visit online. Please contact us for more information. If in the meantime, you have an empty space that you would like to talk to us about, please get in touch.

Our Covid-19 policies:

  • All Paint the Town Green employees are to meticulously follow our Covid-19 policy to minimise the possibility of spreading this virus which is first and foremost
  • Paint the Town Green have arranged for our teams to work on solitary projects or in isolated pods so if one member goes into self-isolation we know exactly who he/ she has worked with recently and only a limited % of the team is affected
  • No Paint the Town Green decorators are to take public transport to and from places of work
  • No hand shaking and social distancing measures applied at all times (minimum 2m apart)
  • All Paint the Town Green decorators and employees are to regularly wash hands and/or use hand sanitiser
  • All Paint the Town Green employees have been told to take their temperature every morning. Thermometers have been issued where needed
  • All Paint the Town Green employees have been told to meticulously follow government guidelines on self-isolation
  • If any Paint the Town Green employee should display any cold or flu symptoms, they have been told to call 111 and follow the NHS’s advice on CV testing
  • Paint the Town Green decorators are not expected to wear masks in private residences but can do so if requested by the Client, in particular when passing through areas that are not being worked on.

As well, we respectfully ask  that our clients alert us if anyone in the home has a temperature or is unwell too so that we are, equally, able to protect our staff.

Finally, we have issued the NHS guidelines to all employees which are as follows:

How to avoid catching or spreading coronavirus

Do
  • wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds
  • always wash your hands when you get home or into work
  • use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
  • cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
  • put used tissues in the bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards
  • try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell
Don’t
  • do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean

Thank you,

From all at Paint the Town Green
