Paint The Town Green

Nicky Haslam: The Stones

It’s not every day you get to work with a legend. Paint the Town Green struck gold the day Phil’s path crossed with Nicky’s which then soon led to a collaboration. Phil met Nicky on a project not long after he had been awarded the prestigious Andrew Martin Interior Designer of the Year accolade. Nicky had always wanted to design his own paint and he liked the fact Paint the Town Green was eco, considering an environmental conscience important.

Inspired by gemstones and minerals, Nicky Haslam’s first ever paint colour collection consists of colours he has loved but never been able to find. The sophisticated six colour range has a rich palette, including a dark mustard yellow called Tiger’s Eye, Agate, a cloudy, charcoal mauve and Feldspar, a mossy oily green. Earthy and natural yet sophisticated, Nicky called the collection ‘The Stones’.

If you are able to visit our showroom you can see his colours on our walls. We never tire of them – they are glorious and we love the fact that they appeal to all tastes and styles. We know a 1960’s Pied a Terre that chose Tiger’s Eye and Agate, a house by the sea that chosen Peridot, a grand old home in France that used Feldspar and a child’s bedroom in the city that chose Diorite. That’s what happens when you get to work with the best in their field. We are proud of this collaboration. It’s exactly this type of punching above our weight that makes us the little paint company that likes to think big.

A percentage of profits from all sales goes to support Duchenne muscular dystrophy charity Harrison’s Fund, chosen by Nicky, to help support their research projects.
